During the late 1970s and into the 80s, Anne Buttimer (former IGU President), in consultation with the University of Lund, Sweden established a ‘Dialogue Project’ and produced a series of video interviews with well known Geographers of the day.  The interviews, most of which are up to one hour long, provide fascinating insights into the academic world of geography and its practitioners at the time.  The interviews capture the perspective of geographers from around the world and range from those newly establishing themselves in the field, to the doyennes of the day.  By kind permission of the University of Lund, and with the co-operation of Professor Buttimer herself, the videos are now streaming via a dedicated IGU YouTube channel.  Several of them have already been viewed more than one hundred times.  Check them out for yourself by pasting the following link into your browser: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1WzSi02jYP3QgjseHxKB3g
