Dear Colleagues,
The 2nd International Scientific Conference “Landscape Dimensions of Sustainable Development: Science – Mapping – Planning – Governance” will take place in Tbilisi State University, Tbilisi, Georgia on 12-16 September 2022 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Nikoloz Beruchashvili (1947-2006), internationally-renowned geographer and cartographer, author of the theory of spatiotemporal analysis and synthesis of landscapes, the founding chair of the International Geographical Union (IGU) Commission on Landscape Analysis, professor at the Tbilisi State University.
The conference will offer a great opportunity to meet colleagues from different countries to share scientific results and current research progress in Landscape Sciences, Cartography and GIS and other sciences. The conference is held once every in 5 years on a self-financing basis.
The conference program will have the following thematic sections:
SECTION 1. LANDSCAPE SCIENCE AND LANDSCAPE PLANNING
SECTION 2. CARTOGRAPHY AND GIS
SECTION 3. ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT
Working languages: Georgian, English, Russian;
Conference participation format:
Full-time participation with a presentation (Report), Full-time participation without a presentation, Two-day field trip to the magnificent mountainous region of Georgia – Racha, Remote participation, Conference Regulations: Report – 15 minutes; Q&A – 5 minutes
At the end of the conference, speakers will be awarded certificates of participation in the event.
