To: All Members of the International Science Council (ISC)

Dear ISC Member,

Acknowledging the persistent gender gap in STEM worldwide, the ISC and UNESCO supported a statement by Ambassador Kridelka at the 9th Assembly of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. He represented the co-chairs of the UN Group of Friends on Science for Action, calling for global efforts to dismantle gender stereotypes in science. The statement advocated for opening pathways for girls in science and creating inclusive environments to support the advancement of women: https://council.science/current/blog/achieving-sustainable-development-requires-the-full-inclusion-of-women-and-girls-in-science/.
