Circulation of ideas and history of geographical knowledge: hierarchies, interactions and networks

The Rede Brasilis (Brazilian Network on the History of Geography and Historical Geography) and the Postgraduate Program in Geography at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in collaboration with the International Geographical Union (IGU) Commission on the History of Geography, invite the scientific community to the International Symposium on “Circulation of ideas and history of geographical knowledge: hierarchies, interactions and networks”, to be held in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Venue: Palácio Universitário da Praia Vermelha (UFRJ). Av. Pasteur 250, 2º floor, Room Pedro Calmon. Urca, Rio de Janeiro – RJ, Brazil
Dates: December 16 – 20, 2014. Lectures and Paper sessions will take place from 16th to 19th in the aforementioned venue. On the 20th, extra activities will be held outside the UFRJ campus.
