1)First impact factor of GeoSus is 9.7.

Firstly, We are very delighted to share with you that Geography and Sustainability (GeoSus), the official journal of IGU Commission on Geography for Future Earth: Coupled Human Earth Systems for Sustainability, received its first Journal Impact Factor (JIF) 2022 of 9.7 according to 2023 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) released by Clarivate on June 28. Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) 2022 of GeoSus is 1.94, with a Q1 ranking in the categories of Geography, Physical (3/63) and Green & Sustainable Science & Technology (5/84). Updated journal flyer has been attached for your information (Attachment 1). We would like to thank you for your great support and contribution to the journal development.

2)GEOSUS 2023 is calling for abstracts now.

Another important event, the International Workshop on Geography and Sustainability 2023 (GEOSUS 2023), will take place on Oct. 26-29, 2023 in Beijing and online (hybrid). Now we are announcing call-for-abstracts for the proposed 24 thematic sessions. You are warmly invited to attend the workshop. We look forward to you joining us in Beijing and online in Oct 2023 for the workshop!
