Online Conference, October 21 & 22, 2020
In the long run, deep and peaceful societal transformations towards global sustainability without the social sciences’ and the humanities’ insights are hardly feasible. During the conference a group of leading international experts will present and discuss strategies to strengthen the humanities and social sciences in sustainability research and policies.
The conference is organized by Prof. Benno Werlen, Chair of the IGU Commission of Global Understanding and under the patronage of the Canadian Commissions for UNESCO. Partners of the conference include the World Academy of Art & Science, the Academia Europaea, The Club of Rome, the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences as well as the International Geographical Union.
